On 18 August Stuff ran a hitpiece on SOVEREIGN.nz in an article titled ‘The Covid-19 conspiracy theorists targeting Northland’s local elections‘. It was written by senior journalist Andrea Vance.
DTNZ has received multiple reports from around the country from candidates running in the upcoming Local Body Elections who claim Stuff journalists have misrepresented their views and spread disinformation about them. It’s a salutary reminder that communications with journalists should be in writing, so there is a record of them.
