Tauranga City Council HQ Will be NZ's Largest Timber Office Buliding

ew Zealand’s largest timber office building will begin to emerge next month when construction on Tauranga City Council’s future administration building gets underway.
The 10,000sqm building will use engineered timber in place of concrete and steel elements, with a view to reducing embodied carbon.
The building will also feature rainwater harvesting, electric vehicle charging and facilities that encourage what council called “active transport options”.
